Sovereign leadership is the commitment to an ever-deepening relationship with self that inevitably takes us to stewardship – of ourselves, others and our world. This simple sentence represents five years of collaboration and co- creation between Thea and David.
Their joint work builds on over three decades each of exploration, delivery and self-discovery in the fields of personal development and leadership.
The catalyst that inspired their work together is embodiment: making leadership more than a mental and emotional process by integrating physicality, movement and posture as effective tools of leadership development.
The initial iteration of their embodied leadership work was through the archetypes of Sovereign, Lover, Warrior and Magician. Embodying the archetypes proved to be a playful and effective means of developing personal awareness and choice for clients that result in more possibilities and better outcomes in a myriad of personal and professional contexts.
Living and practising the work themselves, David and Thea found the focus sharpening to Sovereign Leadership and a practice they call ‘Sovereign Dialogue’. This is a simple and profound writing technique designed to cultivate an ever-deepening relationship with self for personal guidance and wisdom.
Following that guidance took David to Antarctica, a trip that inspired the creation of the Institute of Sovereign Leadership and the Sovereign Leadership framework. As well as the commitment to connecting one million people to their Sovereign Leader within. These continue to be the inspiration for David and Thea’s work, both online and at in person events.
